Building work isincreasingly becoming an interdisciplinary matter.The working with brick， mortar and timber hasdeveloped into a complex interaction of brick， mortar and concrete， timber， steel and plastics. In an experimental series， cement was mixed with different dyes and subsequently eluates weremade of the substances thus obtained. Subsequently， these eluates were analyzed for theirorganic carbon contents. Used chemicals Samples： 6 eluates of cement + different dyes TOC calibration： Potassium hydrogen phthalate standard solution Cerium(IV) oxide as catalyst 2 M HCI for acidification in NPOC mode TIC control measurement Injection volume： 500ul Measurement procedure The TOC analysis was performed on the multi N/C@ in compliance with the relevant DIN and ENstandards. The samples were catalytically oxidized at a temperature of 850℃ in an oxygen flow inthe presence of a cerium (IV) oxide special catalyst. The produced CO2 was detected by a NDIRdetector. All samples were 1：10 diluted with distilled water and subsequently analyzed in directmode (NPOC method). As the filtrates were strongly alkaline， they were acidified with 2 M HCI topH 2 and then purged for 10 minutes. The subsequently performed TIC control measurementyielded TIC values of < 50pg/l. The table below shows the mean values of three individualmeasurements each， the standard deviation and the relative standard deviation.
