This has the same effect as using longer or multiple columns.When applied to preparat i ve HPLC each purified component can be f ractionated very effective l y. (2) Reduces environmental loads and costs ,because in recycle mode , th e same mobile phase solv e nt is used repeatedly while i mproving separation. (3) Effect i ve preparat i ve pur i f i cation because each component i s fractionated only after i mproving the separation.
