In this experimen t the Capsa i c in oid content of t h e pericarp,seed and place n ta from each of four types of capsicum was measured-Capsicum frutescens, Se r rano, F i nger hot and Habanero. In T able 1 the Capsa i c i n and Di h ydrocapsa i cin content in the eac h Capsicum sample (wet we i g h t) are shown. I t is known that the contents are ve r y different depending on each p art and for the al l capsicum , Placenta part contai n s Capsaici n and Dihydrocapsaicin the most.
