Table 2 shows the tota l extraction a m ount i n each extraction, calculated from t h e peak a r ea of caffeine s t andard solution (100 ppm,500 pL ). As s h own i n t h is table, hi gh ext r ac t ion efficiency was achieved for sample 1 u sing a mixture of metha n ol a n d wate r as an entrainer . We determined the purity of extrac t s collec t ed in SFE by HPLC -PDA. Figure 9 shows the chromatograms of caffeine standard solution and concentrated extrac ts (mixture of ext r ac t ion 1 to 4) from sample 1. Figure 10shows the comparison of caffeine spectra between sta n da r d solution and s ample solut i on. A high corre l at i on coeff i cien t was obtained between them (>0.9995). Figure 11 a n d Table 3 show the resu l ts of peak pur i ty.98.8% of the peak wa s determined h i gh-pur i ty caffeine . 【System】 【Sample Preparation】 ac c ording t o t h e degrees o f correl a tion.
