Model RO-600(1K) – Ruthenium Oxide RTD – RuO Thermometer from Scientific Instruments
The Model RO-600 Ruthenium Oxide Temperature Sensors are thick film resistors which adhere to are available with calibration down to 20mK or grouped/interchangeable and have a nominal resistance of 1,000? at ambient temperature. The ruthenium oxide temperature sensor offers excellent performance characteristics in magnetic field environments. These sensors exhibit an initial small negative magnetoresistance at temperatures below 250 mK at low fields (less than about 1.5 Tesla). The magnetoresistance then becomes positive at larger fields and increases at lower temperatures. This magnetoresistance is repeatable. For example, a resistance change of 8% induced by an 8 Tesla field at a temperature of 80 mK corresponds to a temperature error of 7 mK.

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR)/electron spin resonance (ESR) is an important method to study unpaired electrons in organic and inorganic radicals, transition metal complexes, and some biomolecules.When paramagnetic compounds with unpaired electron spins are under magnetic fields and electromagnetic waves, normally in the microwave range of frequency, the transition between spin states is induced. The measurement is generally carried out with constant frequency, while the magnetic field varies. EPR/ESR spectrometer measures the absorption of electromagnetic radiation. Due to the short relaxation times of electron spins, EPR/ESR must be performed at cryogenic temperatures.

The ARS manufactured DMX-20B interface, like our “B” series cold heads is a True UHV System (10-11 Torr) where all of the rubber o-ring seals have been replaced with welded joings and metal seals. A CF flange is The DE210*F-GMX-20B uses a Helium Exchange Gas to decouple the sample from the cold tip of the DE210 Cryocooler. This prevents almost all vibration from being transmitted to the sample. Due to the exchange gas being less conductive, the base temperature will increase by ~1K and the cooling capacity is roughly cut in half at varying temperatures.

The RD102-EM3242 is a reference design for the AKM EM-3242 Non-Contact Angle Position Sensing IC. The EM-3242 senses the angle of magnetic field component in the top plane of the device package. The EM-3242 provides an analog output voltage of 10% to 90% of the supply voltage for a mechanical angle range of 360 degrees of rotation. The EM-3242 has two operating modes. One with the “In Range” detector enabled and one with the “In Range” detector disabled. The “In Range” detector includes internal circuitry which causes the output voltage to drop to 0V whenever the magnetic field level at the EM-3242 is greater than 60mT or less than 10mT.
