The A56-230 is a high speed VCSEL driver IC designed for directly modulated VCSELs in fiber optic transmission systems. The VCSEL driver IC is designed to directly modulate common-cathode VCSEL. The IC has differential input (Vin+, Vin-) and single-ended output to the VCSEL anode. A ground for the VCSEL common cathode is also provided by the IC. It is operated with a single 3.3 V supply typically dissipating less than 200 mW of DC power when no load (VCSEL) is connected at the output. The driver is also equipped with various analog control pins (Vxing, Vmod, Vbias). The zero-crossing can be adjusted with the Vxing pin. The VCSEL modulation current is controlled by varying the bias current swing with the Vmod, and the VCSEL bias current is controlled by Vbias pin.

Time-domain thermoreflectance (TDTR) is one of the most powerful methods to measure the thermal properties, most importantly thermal conductivity, of a wide range of bulk and thin film materials and their interface. The principle is to take advantage of the change in the reflectance of the surface to derive the thermal properties when a material is heated up. The set-up includes a pump and probe pulsed-lasers. The pump laser is utilized to generate acoustic pulses. The acoustic pulses could be at a transmittance or reflectance state at an interface, depending upon the properties of the interface. Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) is one type of photoemission spectroscopies to obtain information about the electronic band structure and Fermi surface of crystals in the reciprocal space. Soft X-ray is irradiated onto the crystal surface, and the kinetic energy of photoelectrons emitted from the surface is measured as a function of polar and azimuthal angles. Because electrons escape from the surface are projected through the surface, the direction of the momentum perpendicular to the surface is not conserved. Therefore, ARPES is an ideal tool for 2D materials because the direction of the electronic momentum of interest is parallel to the surface. The increased sensitivity of excitations can be achieved by reducing thermal energy at cryogenic temperatures.

X-rayDiffraction
X-ray Diffraction (XRD) is a technique to determine the atomic and molecular structure of a crystal based on Bragg diffraction. X-rays are commonly used to produce the diffraction pattern because their wavelength is typically the same order of magnitude (1–100 angstroms) as the spacing d between planes in the crystal. The information on the intensity and angle of the diffractive X-rays can produce a 3D picture of the density of electrons within the crystal, which leads to the mean positions of atoms as well as chemical bonds, disorders, and other information. If it’s a single crystal sample, it’s usually mounted on a goniometer, which can position the sample at selected orientations. The benefits of the low-temperature XRD are to reduce the radiation damage and thermal motion. Low-temperature XRD also helps characterize superconductor materials.

The AN_180KIT takes advantage of the very special lead frame and size of the AKM HG-106C-2U, GaAs, Hall element to detail the method of making a very thin (<0.65mm) thick, high field (+/-1T) magnetic field sensor.The kit incorporates a thin 0.4mm thick PCB and includes all the circuitry to interface with the Hall element. For the most temperature stable output, the HG series Halls should be driven with a constant current source. This kit has a current source of 0.5mA and an instrument amplifier to increase the Hall element output signal to a full scale analog voltage of 2.5V +/- 1.5V for a magnetic field up to +/-1.5T. The output is linear to a magnetic field of +/-1T.

A Hall Element is a magneto-electric transducer which utilizes the Hall Effect to measure or sense a magnetic field perpendicular to the Element. AKM Hall Elements typically have 4 pins, 2 input pins and 2 output pins, and can be driven by either a voltage or a current source. The output is a Hall voltage that is proportional to the magnetic field. The output from a Hall Element is analog and typically requires additional amplification. AKM uses four different semiconductor materials in its Hall Elements. These different materials represent AKM’s 4 different series of part numbers. The different materials provide different performance characteristics (magnetic sensitivity represented by electron mobility and band gap, operating voltage, temperature sensitivity, etc.) allowing the design engineer to choose the best solution for the particular application.

Requirements and tools 1. All new sensors are delivered with a wire pre-installed. Its tension is arbitrary. Its purpose is to allow immediate functional check of the sensor. 2. To install new wire, its length should be approximately 60mm longer than the sensor. Wire must be clean without visible damage or bending. 3. Necessary tools: - Screwdrivers with hexagonal ball heads 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm - Tweezers - 2-3 surgical-style clamps - Scales with range ≥0.5kg - Set of weights to hook to surgical clamp - Magnifying glass - DVM 4. The RD101-EM3242 is a reference design for the AKM EM-3242 Non-Contact Angle Position Sensing IC. The EM-3242 senses the angle of magnetic field component in the top plane of the device package. The EM-3242 provides an analog output voltage of 10% to 90% of the supply voltage for a mechanical angle range of 360 degrees of rotation. The EM-3242 has two operating modes. One with the “In Range” detector enabled and one with the “In Range” detector disabled. The “In Range” detector includes internal circuitry which causes the output voltage to drop to 0V whenever the magnetic field level at the EM-3242 is greater than 60mT or less than 10mT.

The 17900-2212-1-Xm Cable Adapters provide a means of connecting the CPC-XXXX-27 current probes to a USB port for power and to monitoring instruments with a BNC connector input. The cable comes in various lengths listed below. The adapter's USB module incorporates a power ON LED and a low pass filter to condition the USB 5V power and remove any high frequency switching PS noise from the USB port. The module also incorporates an isolation amplifier to isolate the CPC-XXXX-27-BP2 output signal and signal common from the USB Power and Power common. This adapter removes potential additional offset voltages that may be introduced with long cable runs between the probe and monitoring equipment as described below. Compatible with the CPC-XXXX-27-BP2 probes and 17900-2209-0 Extension Cable.

Electromagnets are used extensively in MR systems—hyperpolarized gas, prepolarized, and other low field imaging systems often use electromagnets for the main field, and conventional superconducting systems commonly use electromagnets for the shim and gradient coils. The field produced by an electromagnet is only as temporally stable as the current supply that powers it. The steady state accuracy of a current supply is fundamentally limited by noise and long-term drift of the control electronics, and the accuracy of a current supply subject to transient demands of a system, such as our Prepolarized MRI system, is fundamentally limited by the dynamic response of the coil itself.
