好友之间基因可能相似

西方有句谚语：朋友是我们选择的家人。美国一项新研究从遗传学角度证明了这句话的正确性：朋友之间虽没有血缘关系，但他们在基因上确实有一定相似性。

这项研究14日发表在美国《国家科学院学报》（PNAS）上。参与研究的加州大学圣迭戈分校教授詹姆斯·福勒说：“全基因组分析表明，平均而言，我们与我们的朋友具有遗传上的相似性。与陌生人相比，我们选择做朋友的人通常与我们有着更多相似的DNA。”

福勒与耶鲁大学教授尼古拉斯·克里斯塔基斯分析了近2000人的约150万个基因变异标记。他们发现，从统计学角度看，朋友之间有约1％的相似基因，这相当于拥有共同玄祖父母的人之间的基因相似度。

研究人员表示，1％看上去不多，但在遗传学上是一个“较大数字”。“许多人甚至都不认识与他们拥有共同玄祖父母的亲戚，但我们会在某种程度上选择类似这种亲戚的人做朋友，”克里斯塔基斯说。

新研究显示，朋友之间最相似的基因是味觉基因。研究人员说，这可能是因为具有相似味觉基因的人容易被相似的环境吸引。比如，喜欢咖啡香味的人可能会经常光顾咖啡店，因而容易与志趣相投者成为朋友。

相较而言，朋友之间差异较大的是免疫基因。一个可能的解释是，这对人类的进化有好处，因为当朋友之间能抵抗的病原不同时，他们就可能减少彼此之间传播疾病的可能性。

最让研究人员惊讶的是，朋友间最相似的基因似乎比其他基因进化得更快。研究人员说，这也许有助于解释过去3万年中人类为什么会加速进化，也说明社会环境自身可能是一种进化的力量。
