The Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) department of National Facility for Protein Science Shanghai (NFPSS) is dedicated to providing users with the bio-macromolecule structures and functional research capabilities and research services, as well as the development of new Bio-NMR technologies and new Bio-NMR methodological research. With the help of domestic and foreign experts, the technology team of NMR department has optimized and established a set of advanced solution Bio-NMR pulse technology and experimental methods after years of accumulation and technical research, which has been obtained progress in the protein solution dynamics research and structural analysis.
For example, relying on the 900MHz spectrometer, we established a set of advanced triple-resonance pulse technology and experimental methods, which can efficiently analyze the relationship between the solution structure and dynamic function of larger molecular (90KDa) membrane proteins. Those core facility and technologies are at the international advanced level of Bio-NMR community. At the same time, relying on 900MHz, 800MHz, 700MHz and two 600MHz nuclear magnetic spectrometers, we have introduced a variety of advanced NMR technology and methods, combined with the needs of the users of the facility, applied to membrane protein structure and function, protein dynamics and functions, Weak interactions of proteins-protein/ligands, RNA NMR experiments, and In-Cell NMR methodological studies.
Up to now, the NMR department has a high-level technical team that can provide users with comprehensive technical support and services in the field of bio-NMR, including data acquisition, spectral analysis, chemical shift assignment, interaction mapping, protein dynamic analysis and solution structure determination. Our Co-authored research articles by relevant users have been published in internationally SCI journals such as Nature, Cell, Science, Molecular Cell, JACS, Angew Chem Int, J Phys Chem Lett, RNA and PNAS et.al.
