Utilizes dichloromethane, also under denitrifying conditions (3948, 6209). Application in a biosensor for dihalomethanes (4928). (Medium 162, 30°C or Medium 457 with dichloromethane in the incubation atmosphere, 30°C. Rehydrate and grow lyophilized cells from the ampoule in 5 ml liquid broth 162.
