The PA1000 Automated Workcell Hudson‘s PA1000
Barcode Print & Apply is a high performance automated barcode
labeling system. It prints multiple format barcode labels on any SBS
footprint plates. The PA1000 prints 1D, 2D and/or human readable text on
1, 2 or all 4 sides of a plate. Easy to use software allows for
anyone to set up a run. Print 1 plate or a 1000 using the scalable
stacker system. The PA1000 is an ideal choice for any budget and space.
The PA1000 can be used manually loaded or load the optional stackers
and run the system in any number of batches. The system can be
expanded to 15+ stackers holding over 350 plates with lids or 420
shallow well plates without lids. Configure the right number of stackers
for your needs and budget. Additional stacking options are available
allowing for up to 1000 plates to be processed per run. The PA1000 is
supported with Hudson’s PlateCrane; robotic arm and SoftLinx™
scheduling software. SoftLinx offers ready to go interfaces to 150+
laboratory instruments allowing the PA1000 to be integrated as the first
s of an automated process. With the PA1000 and SoftLinx the
barcode will be applied as defined in the easy to use software, the
initial data recorded, the plates tracked through the assay process and
results delivered with the plate data. Eliminate the need to manually
move the plates from stacker to stacker or loading a database. Barcode
labeling can be done within the work cell process saving time and money. Already
have barcodes on the plates Need to replace them with new labels? Need
to add human readable text The PA1000 can read the existing barcodes
and print and apply a duplicate or text label on any side of the plate. Using
2D barcodes for some applications? The PA1000 can read the existing 1D
barcode then print & apply a label with the 2D barcode on another
side of the plate. SoftLinx tracks which side has which barcode. The
PA1000 is as reliable as it is versatile. Print 1000s of labels without
incident. Adjust the position of the label on the plate to meet
individual needs. Whether high throughput use or convenient small scale
data tracking the PA1000 fits any budget and application. When
configured with a PlateCrane with rotating gripper, the microplate
labeling workcell allows labels to be applied to any or all sides of a
microplate. This picture shows a close-up of the PlateCrane rotating
gripper, the Plate Nest, and the microplate label applicator. A 600 dpi
printer provides the resolution needed for reproducible printing on
labels sized for microplates. The capability to use labels up to 3.3″
wide allows use of longer bar codes and the printing of human readable
text next to the bar code. The Print & Apply Workcell offers
individual laboratories Walkaway Automation for labeling microplates.
Depending on the configuration, up to 420 microplates can be loaded and
then automatically labeled. The potential inaccuracies (as well as
operator tedium) of manual labeling are therefore avoided.
