使用多参数表面等离子体共振分析仪MP-SPR表征聚合物-层的吸附和厚度: Polymers are extensively studied and often interactions play a key role in the product functionality. Two separate polymer interaction studies were conducted using label-free real-time Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR). Functionalization of nanocellulose surfaces was performed by adsorption of block copolymers. The e?cacy of anti-fouling of the PEG-based polymer brushes was quanti?ed by measuring adsorption of serum samples. Based on the MP-SPR measurements, polymers were further characterized in terms of thickness and adsorbed mass. Nanocellulose functionalization was con?rmed to be successful and -OH terminated 10 kDa PEG was found to be the best anti-fouling coating, producing 99% resistance.

Various dissociation bu?ers were tested to determine the most e?cient solution. A unique feature, PureKinetics?, allows di?erentiation of real binding from interfering bulk signal artifacts, providing a pure binding signal. The method can clear out even extremely large bulk signals, such as high-ionic strength dissociation bu?ers. In this study, the most e?cient dissociation from Protein A was achieved with bu?ers of pH below 4.0.

使用分子间相互作用分析仪MP-SPR在空气中以原子级分辨率表征石墨烯层: Chemical-vapour-deposition (CVD)-grown graphene films were characterized with non-invasive Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR). Both layer thickness and refractive index were obtained simultaneously from a single measurement without prior information on either of the parameters. After the first initial deposited layer, the layer thickness of the graphene monolayer was 0.37nm which is in good agreement with values from other methods. Refractive index and extinction coefficient of graphene layer on Al2O3 were 3.135 and 0.897 respectively at 670nm wavelength.

Tumor-specific major histocompatibility complex (MHC) peptides attachment to the OAds was measured in real-time. Modified positive polyK-SIINFEKL peptide bound to the virus surface (binding constant 2.88 x 10-6M), whereas unmodified neutral SIINFEKL peptide did not bind.

The binding reaction of anti-methotrexate to immobilized small molecule weight drug methotrexate (MTX) was followed by MP-SPR and by potentiometry and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Methotrexate binding produced a relatively large impedance response and antibody molecules a small response, whereas potentiometry values stayed equal during interactions. The strong binding of antibody molecules was observed in the MP-SPR response.

Optical biosensor techniques based on evanescent field sensing, like surface plasmon resonance (SPR) have typically an effective detection depth of a hundred nanometers. For many coating-interaction studies coatings of this thickness can be difficult to achieve. Optical waveguides are phenomenon that can occur in structures able to capture and internally reflect light. A related optical phenomena, so-called SPR waveguide mode, might occur when between metal and the sample medium is a dielectric guiding layer with sufficiently high dielectric constant (ε) and thickness (d) (Fig. 1). The plasmon excitation by the visible light can be exited at several angles which are dependent on the whole optical system properties, and an angular spectrum of reflected light intensity (SPR-angular curve) will show several minima (Fig. 2).

The Quartz Crystal Microbalance technique (QCM) senses the amount of water dynamically coupled to biomolecules, which is sometimes a useful additional information, but which can also be a complicating factor in assays.
