Planar 采用了全新的光学测量原理，配合专门开发的测量软件， Planar 可以在 30 秒内完成全部测量工作并根据需要生成并打印测量报告。Planar 是目前测量速度较快的专用钣金测量机，而且其测量精度达到±0.01mm，完全满足钣金零件的精度要求。除了其高速、高精度的特性， Planar 还完全适于在生产现场运行，外界的振动、粉尘、零件对工作台的划伤等都不会对测量过程产生任何影响。
Planar 操作非常简单，以至于任何加工机床(数控冲床、激光切割机等)的操作人员均可操作 Planar 测量系统－所有操作基本都是自动完成，其一键测量功能使操作者只需点击一次鼠标就可完成全部测量并输出测量报告。
