The ever increasing drive to extract more information from smaller samples is growing the need for effective multiplexing in tissue samples. The Aperio FL whole slide digital pathology scanning system enables multi-channel scanning of fluorescently labeled slides, helping researches get more from their samples.

Patented line-scanning technology, coupled with advanced image analysis options enables researchers to maximize the output from studies, providing permanent electronic copies of fluorescent slides, which never bleach or fade. 

Multi-channel Capture

With the monochrome camera and quad multi-band pass filter set provided with the system, up to four color channels can be utilized. In addition, the six-position filter cube turret and excitation filter wheel allow for even greater flexibility, to match your sample needs.

Easy to Use

Advanced illumination, auto-exposure, and autofocus capabilities eliminate the need for trial-and-error image capture, greatly minimizing the occurrence of photobleaching. 

Fadeless Fluorescence

High-resolution multi-channel digital pathology images can be archived permanently, eliminating concerns about fluorochrome fading on the glass slides.

Tissue Microarrays

Whether working with whole tissue samples or tissue microarrays, the Aperio FL slide scanner improves reproducibility and standardization in fluorescence research with crisp, high-quality, multi-channel whole slide images. 

Applications for Aperio FL:

• Fluorescent whole slide imaging of: tissue sections and TMAs, for biomarker expression in various types of cancers (breast, colon, liver, pancreas, eye, etc.)

• pancreatic sections, for pancreatic islet analysis, alpha and beta cell mass, alpha and beta cell proliferation

• brain sections for amyloid plaque analysis and biomarker expression
