Description
Aven is a cell death regulator that interacts with anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-xl (1, 2). It also interacts with and inhibits Apaf-1 oligomerization, required to activate caspase-9. Aven overexpression is associated with poor prognosis in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (1). High expression is found in the testis, ovary, and thymus (2).

Storage Condition and Buffer
Store at -20 °C. Buffer: 50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
