BP is reported considering a floating incinerator to burn the recovered oil. BGI samplers will provide the EPA with data to monitor the ambient air quality to protect both the environment and population.

The U.S. EPA responded to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico by deploying BGI model PQ200 ambient particulate reference method samplers at several locations. http://www.epa.gov/bpspill/air.html
