The FTIR application engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise in the support of FTIR sales revenue growth by professional solution and support for sales and customers.
1. Perform high quality FTIR product demonstrations including the development of new techniques and applications for Thermo Fisher’s partners and customers
2. Technical product expert assisting with all phases of the sales cycle
3. Cultivating positive customer relationships and act as a technical customer interface for specific application request, product features and details. Provide pre- and post-sales application support for Thermo Fisher’s FTIR product lines within the assigned territories in order to assist leads generation or influence customer preference in favor of Thermo, eventually become Thermo customers and/or loyal customers.
4. Develop and promote new application solutions to drive product sales revenue growth.
5. Conduct customer training and translate customer needs into solution. Provide technical expert support for customer aftersales
6. Create sales or support tools for assigned market to highlight application solutions to potential customers. Support the marketing activities by the professional presentation and demonstration.
7. Provide continuous feedback to the product groups on product performance, features, and potential problems while collaborating with product/market groups on future product developments
