In addition to velocity also particle position measurements were performed with an extended LDA (Shirai et al. 2008). In the present work another extension is proposed. It is able to determine the velocity component parallel to the wall with spatial resolution near a reflecting wall. In contrast to imaging near-wall measurement techniques with mirrors (Kunze et al. 2008), the proposed sensor
