Recombinant Human FGF-10

FGF-10 is a heparin-binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family.  Proteins of this family play a central role during prenatal development, postnatal growth and regeneration of a variety of tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF-10 is most related to KGF/FGF-7, and is expressed during the development and, preferentially, in adult lungs. It signals through FGFR 2b. Recombinant Human FGF-10 is a 19.3 kDa protein consisting of 170 amino acid residues.

Biological Activity: Assay #1: Determined by dose-dependent ability to reduce tetrazolium salt, WST-8, by dehydrogenase activities of BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors using Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8). The expected ED50 is 5 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2 x 10^6 units/mg.
Assay #2:Determined by a cell proliferation assay using 4MBr-5 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.5-15.0 ng/ml.
