Developing of TEM Films

1. Preparation of Stock solution of D19 developer:

  Dissolve D19 in water according to the manufacturer's instructions

2. Development of KODAK film 4429:

    Dilute stock solution of D19 developer in water as follows:
    1 part of D19 + 2 parts of water

    Before use, check the temperature of D19 developer . It should be
    around 20 degrees centigrade.

3.  Developing time:

    2.5 minutes * with brief agitation every 30 seconds

4. Washing :

    Wash in diluted acetic acid solution ( 1:20 dilution)  for 30 seconds
   

5.  Fixing:

    Prepare Fixer solution  according to the manufacturer's instructions.
    Fix in the diluted solution for 2-5 minutes

6. Wash in running water for 20 minutes

7.  Dry the film

(*) The film development time depends on the emulsion setting of your
microscope. In our case, we use 2.5 minutes.

简单的说就是显影－水洗－定影－水洗－晾干，显影和定影之间的水洗是为了洗掉底片上的显影液。
试一下用Photoshop能不能救活显影过度的底片。
